True North Experiences was born, bred and proudly based in Durbanville.

Founded by Flip Vorster as a platform to reach youth outside the classroom and in their communities. TNE reflects Flip’s passion for working with young people in an alternative way – through nature, the outdoors and the camp life. As a former teacher and IT professional, Flip has always believed that nature is one of the greatest teachers, offering a powerful way to illustrate God’s creation and our place in it. Over the years, TNE has operated across South Africa in every imaginable environment, as well as internationally, serving clients from various countries while still keeping the unique local flavour of its home-grown community.

In 2016, TNE had the opportunity to establish its own campsite – Taaibosch – on Klein Phisantekraal Farm.

Since then, it has taken hard work and dedication to shape Taaibosch into what it is today: a rustic, off-grid, eco-friendly facility. Purpose-built for us, by us – a haven where young people can experience life-changing camps and events.
